Protestant Women of the Chapel

Protestant Women of the Chapel (PWOC) is a women’s ministry that unites, trains and encourages women in the military chapel community in their spiritual growth. PWOC is God empowered, Christ centered and Spirit led and exists as an extension of the chapel. We seek to encourage women to grow spiritually within the body of Christ through prayer, the study of God's Word, worship and service. PWOC welcomes women associated with all branches of the military, DoD civilians, and DoDEA employees.

Kadena PWOC meets weekly on Tuesdays from 9:15am to 11:30am at Chapel 3 for bible study and fellowship. We provide a Children’s Program for ages 6months – 5 yrs and provide a room for Home Schooled children.

Simplicity Intimacy Legacy Sept 6, 2001

Intimacy.   Simplicity.   Legacy.

Keys to the Kingdom.

Intimacy. With our Savior. With our families. With each other.

Simplicity. In this very complicated world, simplicity will be a challenge. But as I look at the things I stress about, I’ve been asking myself, “What can I let go of? What doesn’t have to be done perfectly. Or done at all? Hmmm….”

Legacy. What will our legacy be? As a PWOC? As lovers of Jesus? As moms? As wives?

We had our Board W.I.L.D. training at the end of August. We spent the weekend bonding, sharing our hearts, making plans for the coming year. I’ve gotta tell you, you have an amazing team of ladies leading you this year! They are all in! And as we planned the year, these three words were our guiding principles.

We long to see the Kingdom of Heaven come in our midst. We hope to provide an environment for the Spirit to inhabit. One of praise and thanksgiving. I’d like you to ponder these three words. Ask God how you can order your life to develop deeper intimacy with Him, your family, and each other. What do we need to let go of to foster simplicity in our lives? And what are we going to intentionally do to leave a legacy pleasing to God?

Welcome back! We can’t wait to get started on our new Bible studies! We can’t wait to meet back up with old friends. And we can’t wait to embrace all the new ladies who have made Okinawa their home.

When you get to PWOC on Tuesday, join us in the fellowship hall first. Check out the tables to sign up for your new studies. Also look for opportunities to get involved in PWOC ministry. We are looking for team members for many areas. Pray about how God is leading you to use your gifts and talents at PWOC. We need you!
